Baker Insurance Agency was founded by Cecil J. Baker in 1934. While working as a fieldman for the W.R. Roach Canning Company of Owosso as well as running the family farm. Cecil’s son, Gerald Baker, joined him in running the business in 1968. 

Baker Insurance Agency moved to downtown Lennon, MI in 1969. Gerald’s son, William Baker, joined the business in 1976. Patrick Baker (unrelated to the original Baker family) purchased the business in 2021.  
 
Daily operations have changed considerably since our beginning. In those early days most customers were local neighbors and family members. As our growth continues, we not only have customers throughout the state of Michigan, but many other states as well.

Our business would not be where it is today without the dedication and hard work of our outstanding employees. Our agency staff has a combined total of over 180 years of experience. We are proud to continue keeping the tradition of treating your needs as if they were our own. We continue to uphold the high standard of service and care our customers           
and community have received for over 85 years.
